Flutist and ICE co-founder Claire Chase is active as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and arts entrepreneur. Recent engagements include the Mostly Mozart Festival of Lincoln Center, the Composer Portraits and Pocket Concerto Project at Miller Theatre, new releases on the Bridge, Tzadik, Naxos and New Focus labels, and appearances at international festivals in Europe and Latin America. A passionate advocate for the music of our time, Claire has given the world premieres of over 100 new works for the flute. Her self-released solo album, Aliento, will be out in May 2008, featuring world premiere recordings by young composers for flute and electronics.
