Schenkkan


Nate Schenkkan is an actor and dancer based in New York. Nate attended Yale University, graduating with honors in Political Science. While at Yale, Nate developed, directed, and performed in The Failure of Things: Nietzsche/Orestes, later performed at the Yale School of Drama. In New York, he has performed at the Guggenheim Museum and at Dance New Amsterdam in Moving Theater's Without, at 15 Nassau in the South Wing's Death in Vacant Lot!, at the Ohio Theater in Ripe Time's Betrothed, at PS122 in Kathryn Profeta's 131, with Stillpoint Productions in transFigures and The Eliots, in the TEAM's HOWL, and as a soloist in I Promise I Won't Break Stuff, choreographed by Shanti Crawford and shown at PS122's DanceOff!. He has also worked with Robert Wilson workshopping the opera Revolution of Forms. Upcoming: St. Joan of the Stockyards with Stillpoint Productions at PS122, and a new translation and adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's short story Father Sergius.
